Shows information about registered journal and free volumes, which are unregistered:

Journal Volumes and

Free Volumes

Parity Group: Parity group where a journal volume belongs.

LDKC:CU:LDEV: Journal volume’s LDKC number, CU number and LDEV number (# at the
end indicates external volume).

Capacity: Journal volume’s capacity in gigabytes.

Emulation: Journal volume’s emulation type.

CKPR: Number and the name of the CLPR where the journal volume belongs.

Operation: Whether the journal volume is added or deleted from a journal.

The used to register a volume or volumes in a journal.

Add

The used to delete a volume or volumes from a journal.

Delete

Sets the Free volumes to populate the list:

PG/CU change

PG: Shows volumes belonging to a parity group.

PG(Ext.): Shows external volumes belonging to a parity group.

CU: Shows volumes belonging to a CU.

Box: Where you either enter a PG and PG(Ext.) parity group number or select a CU.

Indicates the journal’s function in a Cnt Ac-J and Cnt Ac-S 2DC cascade configuration. This
option can be specified only when an unused journal is specified.

2DC Cascade

Indicates the journal’s function in a Cnt Ac-J 3DC cascade configuration. This option can be
specified when only the unused journal is specified. Cannot be used together with the 2DC
cascade configuration.

Cnt Ac-J 3DC

The number of the selected journal. A journal number ending in [&] indicates the journal is
in a 2DC configuration; for example, 001 (00) [&]. A journal number ending in [M] indicates
the journal is in a 3 Cnt Ac-J DC configuration; for example, 001 (00) [M].

Journal

The number and the capacity of journal volumes currently in the journal.

Current

The estimated number and the capacity of journal volumes after addition or deletion.
