4 Storage Management Appliance Software User Guide
Logging On
You can log on to the Storage Management Appliance from any computer on your
network using IP addressing.
1. Open a supported Web browser.

QuickSpecs for supported browsers and operating systems. The QuickSpecs
are available at the following website:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/managementappliance/specifications.html
2. Enter the Storage Management Appliance IP address or name in the browser’s
location bar and press Enter.
The SMA logon dialog box prompts you for your logon information
(
Figure 1 ).

3. Enter your user name and password and click OK to display the Storage
Management Appliance Home page. You should receive your user name and
password from the system administrator or user assigned the Administrator
privilege level.
