By default, the new user receives notification for all event types generated by the
same devices and applications as the previous user. The Storage Management
Appliance v2.1 software provides two ways an administrator can reduce the
number of notification messages received by the new user. One way is to disable
notification for particular severity types using the Notification Info tab of the
User Properties page. See “

for detailed information. The other way is to disable unwanted event types listed
on the Events Summary page for the user. See “

This migration process adds any SNMP trap recipients or hosts to the Storage
Management Appliance database; however, the associated settings for event
forwarding are not migrated. See “

detailed information.
