2. Installing JoltBeans
This chapter includes JoltBeans Installation Requirements information.
For information about the Jolt 1.1 installation, refer to the Jolt for NonStop TUXEDO User
Guide .

The following instructions are taken from the JoltBean.txt "Read Me" file on the product CD.
Installation Requirements
The following components are required before installing JoltBeans:
Jolt for NonStop TUXEDO Version 1.1 ●
Certified Integrated Development Environment (IDE):
Symantec Visual Café: 2.5 ●
Installation Files
The tar file (UNIX) and the zip file (Windows NT) contain the following:
README ●
JoltBeanRt.jar ●
JoltBeanDev.jar ●
JoltBeanRtAwt.jar ●
JoltBeanDevAwt.jar ●
Description:
JoltBeanDev.jar,
JoltBeanDevAwt.jar These jar files contain all the JoltBeans classes which are required for
developing Jolt Clients using JoltBeans. These files are used in the IDE.
JoltBeanRt.jar,
JoltBeanAwtRt.jar These jar files contain just the run-time subset of the files above. These
files will be used at deployment time in place of the development-time
jar files. The development jar files will work at run-time, but are several
times larger than the run-time jar files.
