All discovered managed devices and their subcomponents may disappear during a
discovery cycle
This may occur due to a timeout error from the HP OneView appliance. Verify that error 201
appears in the HP OneView Management Event Log.
To resolve this issue, wait for the next discovery cycle to occur, or temporarily override the discovery
interval with a smaller value.
NOTE: Once the devices have been discovered completely, reset the discovery cycle value to
its previous value.
Uninstall may retain files and folders when the HP OneView Management Pack is
installed in a custom path
This issue may occurs when installing the HP OneView Management Pack in a custom path and
then uninstalling from the control panel.
To resolve this issue, delete the leftover files and folders manually. To prevent this issue from
occurring, perform one of the following options:

Install the HP OneView Management Pack features in a default path, or
•
Use the Remove option of the installer to uninstall the HP OneView Management Pack
Scalability guidelines for the HP OneView Management Pack
HP OneView appliances are added in SCOM using the HP OCD. Once added, a managed HP
OneView appliance must be discovered by the OCD via regular discovery intervals targeting the
instance of HP OneView [see
“Discovering HP OneView appliances” (page 18) ]. The discovery
cycles collect inventory data from the HP OneView appliance. As the number of managed resources
in a HP OneView appliance increases, the response time for collecting inventory data increases.
Recommended guidelines for the maximum number of resources managed by a single HP OneView
appliance are defined in the following table.

If a single HP OneView appliance manages more than the number of recommended resources, a
timeout error may occur (see
“All discovered managed devices and their subcomponents may
disappear during a discovery cycle” (page 52) ). HP suggests using multiple HP OneView appliances
and additional management servers in the SCOM resource pool to ensure your managed resources
are within the prescribed numbers listed in the table above.
