5 Using HP OneView Enclosure Management Pack
The HP OneView Enclosure Management Pack enables management of HP Enclosure and its sub
component being managed by the appliance. HP OneView appliances v 1.10 is supported. For
more information, see
“Support matrix” (page 9)
This management pack has the following features:
•
Discovery and inventory of supported resources (like interconnect bay, enclosure, device bay,
onboard administrator, power subsystem, thermal subsystem).
•
Health monitoring of resources (like interconnect bay, enclosure, device bay, onboard
administrator, power subsystem, thermal subsystem).
•
Task that open HP OneView appliance, HP onboard administrator web page in context to
the selected resource.
•
Monitor state change alert of the resources (Healthy to critical).
•
Rules to generate alerts.
•
Identifies, groups, and displays enclosures being managed by HP OneView in the management
console.
•
Populates Operations Manager with enclosure attributes and configuration data for the
enclosure and its sub-components.
•
Identifies, translates, and displays Enclosure hardware events written to the Windows Event
Log by the HP OneView Event Manager as Operations Manager alerts.
•
Provides links to HP OneView web console for hardware resource management and advanced
administration from Operations Manager.

The structure of management pack classes is defined to seamlessly provide operations with the HP
