The Change Threshold dialog box displays the following items:
•
Threshold drop-down list
You can select the value of the threshold (%) for the V-VOL from the drop-down list. The value
will be within 5% to 300% in 5% increments.
•
Set button
Determines the threshold set for the V-VOL, and displays the V-VOL window.
The pool ID that has been selected will be set to the V-VOL window.
•
Cancel button
Cancels all the settings, and returns to the V-VOL window.
Changing the Threshold of the V-VOL
To change only the threshold of the V-VOL associated with the pool:
1.
Change the mode of Remote Web Console to Modify.
If the mode is already changed to Modify, you can skip this step. For information on how to
change the mode, see the HP StorageWorks XP24000 Remote Web Console User’s Guide.
2.
In the V-VOL group tree of the V-VOL window, select the V-VOL group that contains the V-VOL(s)
you want to change.
3.
Right-click the row containing the V-VOL that you want to change in the V-VOL list, and select
Change Threshold.
Change Threshold dialog box will be displayed.
Note:
In this case, the V-VOL should be associated with a pool ID. If the V-VOL is not associated
with a pool ID, associate the V-VOL with a pool ID in the Connect Pool dialog box, click Next,
and use the Change Threshold dialog box to set the threshold.
4.
Select the threshold (%) for the relevant V-VOL from the drop-down list in the Change Threshold
dialog box.
Note:
The area that you can set is designed by black rows. You cannot set an area if you select
blue rows. After setting, the area becomes blue. When the setting is applied to the storage
system, the area changes to black.
5.
Click Set to change the threshold of the V-VOL.
6.
Click Apply in the V-VOL window.
A confirmation message is displayed asking if the setting can be applied to the storage system.
7.
Click OK.
The confirmation message closes, and the new V-VOL information is applied to the storage
system.
Deleting a V-VOL Group
By performing this operation, all the V-VOLs in the V-VOL group can be deleted.
To delete a V-VOL group:
1.
Change the mode of Remote Web Console to Modify.
