Deletes the V-VOL group and the V-VOLs that are in that

V-VOL group.

When you right-click

an XP Provisioning

V-VOL

Connect Pool

Displays the Connect Pool dialog box

Release Pool

Releases the XP Thin Provisioning pool.

Change Threshold

Displays the Change Threshold dialog box

V-VOL list (the area on the right of the window)

Information about the V-VOLs that are registered in the VDEV selected in the V-VOL group tree is

displayed. The following items are displayed in the list.
• LDKC:CU:LDEV: LDKC number, CU number, and LDEV number of the V-VOL

Note:

If the LDEV number of a V-VOL is followed by the letter X, the V-VOL is used for XP Thin

Provisioning, and cannot be used as an S-VOL of XP Snapshot. The V-VOL that can be used

for XP Snapshot is displayed with an LDEV number followed by V.

• Capacity: V-VOL capacity
• Emulation: emulation type of the V-VOL

Note:

If the emulation type is followed by CVS, the volume is a CV (custom-sized volume).

• Status: V-VOL status

• Normal: normal status
• Blocked: V-VOL is blocked

• CLPR: CLPR number to which the V-VOL belongs
• Access Attribute: access attribute of the V-VOL
• Path: V-VOL LU path
• Threshold: threshold for issuing a warning about the free capacity of the pool
• Pool ID: pool identifying number
• Usage Rate: percentage of the used V-VOL capacity to the total V-VOL capacity (%)

Apply button

Applies the operations that have been performed in the V-VOL window to the storage system. If

the specified operations complete successfully, the contents that was displayed in blue italics in

the V-VOL group tree or V-VOL list will be displayed in normal black text.

If an error occurs during the operations, an error code and error message will be displayed in the

error message dialog box. For a complete list of XP Thin Provisioning error codes, see the HP

Cancel button

Cancels all the operations that were performed.

XP Thin Provisioning Window

The XP Thin Provisioning window, which is displayed when you click the XP Thin Provisioning tab in the

Report Display window, is shown below. In this window, you can display and manage TP-VOLs (V-VOLs),

pools, and the V-VOL management area. The V-VOL management area is the area where management

information is stored. The capacity of this area determines the capacity of the TP-VOL (V-VOL) and the

pool to be used.
