1. Define a CG to which you want to assign the BC pairs as a RAID Manager CG.
2. Assign the BC pairs to the same BC CG to ensure consistent backup operations.
3. Quick Split the BC pair.

NOTE: If you are sharing BC P-VOLs with Cnt Ac-S or Cnt Ac-J S-VOLs, for more information
about the requirements and restrictions for using CG pair-split with shared volumes, see
“Requirements, restrictions, and guidelines for using consistency group pair-split with shared
BC and Cnt Ac-S or Cnt Ac-J volumes” (page 20)

4. If the pair-split operation fails, perform troubleshooting for CG pair-split failures (see
“Troubleshooting consistency group pair-split failures” (page 82) ).
5. Create the pairs.
