Prerequisite Target
Device Manager agent 7.1.0 or later and RAID Manager 01-25-xx/xx or later
must be installed.
The configuration definition file is in a format that is supported by Device Manager
agent, and the RAID Manager instance must have started normally.
Pair Management server
The serial numbers of the storage systems managed by the Device Manager server
must be unique.
Storage system
RAID Manager 01-25-xx/xx or later must be installed (Device Manager agent is
not necessary), and the relay (RAID Manager) instance must have been started.
In addition:
• The user account for executing the Device Manager agent service (or Applica-
tion Agent service) and the local system account must be set up to permit login
in by the command device authentication account.
• If the RAID Manager instance is used to access multiple storage systems, the
account must be set up so that the same command device authentication account
and password can be used to log into each of the command devices.

municate with the SVPs using UDP. The ports used by the RAID Manager
instances on the pair management servers are determined by adding
34000 +
instance-number + 1.The port number used by the SVPs is
31001.

municate with the relay (RAID Manager) instance installed on the virtual
command device server using UDP. The ports used by the RAID Manager
instances on the pair management servers is the value determined by

Manager) relay instance on the virtual command device server is specified
in a configuration definition file.
