(1) The RIO statistics are included for Cnt Ac-S and Cnt Ac-S Z operations, if present.
(2) Synchronization data does not display for pairs created with the previous version of Continuous Access
Synchronous. In this case “0” displays.

Click Set to close the Display Item dialog box. The Usage Monitor window now shows a graph
of the selected I/O statistics data for the selected LUs.

To enlarge the graph, right-click and select Large Size.

To close the graph, right-click and select Close.
•
To save monitoring data in text files, use the Performance Monitor Export Tool.
Monitoring, maintaining logical paths
Check logical path status to keep track of and maintain paths.
Procedure 17 To monitor logical path status

In the Remote Web Console, click Actions > Remote Copy > Continuous Access Synchronous
> RCU Operation.

Select MCU&RCU in the Display box.
3.
Select the RCU you want, right-click, then click RCU Status. The RCU Status dialog box displays.
Logical path status definitions
The following table provides logical path status descriptions. To make sure your pair statuses are
current, click File/Refresh in the Remote Web Console window.
Definition
Status
This path has been successfully established and can be used for Continuous Access
Synchronous remote copy activities.
Normal
The link initialization procedure with the secondary system has failed, because the physical
path connection between either the primary and secondary system, or between the primary
system and the host, was missing.
Initialization Failed
A timeout error has occurred between the primary and secondary system.
Communication Timeout
The logical path link function has been rejected by the secondary system. All logical path
resources in the secondary system might be used for other connections.
