Exiting the Main Menu
Using the
!
and
"
scroll buttons, set the first digit of the unlock code. When it
is set, press Enter to move the cursor to the second digit and repeat the
process. After you enter the entire unlock code using this process, press
Escape. Then press Enter to confirm the entry. If the code is correct, the Main
menu appears. If the code is incorrect, an error screen appears.
Exiting the Main Menu
To leave the menu mode and return to the Default screen, press Escape
repeatedly. Each time you press Escape, you move up a menu level. When the
Main menu is visible, pressing Escape once returns you to the Default screen.
Navigating the Main Menu
To select a menu, move the
$
to the desired line by using the
!
and
"
scroll
buttons. Press Enter to confirm the selection and display the menu. The
!
at
the end of the fourth line of the Main menu means one or more additional
options can be reached by scrolling, using the
"
button. The options are:

Load/Unload
•
Unlock Door
•
Show Status Menu
•
Maintenance Menu
•
Configure Menu
•
Show History Menu
•
Security Menu
The Main menu selections are described next.
Load/Unload

If you scroll to Unlock Door and press Enter, the magazine door swings open.
Note. When you see an · on line 1 or an ‚on line 4 of the display, you can scroll up or down to
reveal more options.
Note. If the message “Magazine Locked” appears, the NonStop server software has locked
the tape magazine. Exiting the backup or HSM software usually releases the lock. In the event
of failure with the NonStop server, the software will cycle the power to the Tape Drive to
release the lock.
