Set Date
Set Date
Use this setting to set the tape drive’s calendar.
Set Time
Use this setting to set the tape drive's clock.
Set Baud Rate
Use this setting to set the data transmission rate of the tape drive's trace port.
This function is intended for use by CEs only. The default is 38400 bits per
second.
Set Serial Number
Use this setting to alter the tape drive’s serial number stored in the unit. The
tape drive's robotics reports these settings in response to the SCSI Inquiry
command in the Unit Serial Number page.
Set Unload Mode
Use this setting to determine whether a SCSI Move Medium command is
interpreted as Implicit or Explicit. If Implicit, the tape drive unloads a tape drive
before attempting to move a cartridge from that tape drive. If Explicit, the
NonStop server must issue a SCSI Unload command to a tape drive before
each Move Medium command that removes a cartridge from that tape drive.
The default is Implicit.
Set Autoclean Mode
Use this setting to enable an automatic cleaning cycle that operates as part of
the cartridge unload sequence whenever the Use Cleaner LED comes on. You
can use this function only in Random Operating mode. To use this option,
reserve a slot for a cleaning cartridge by using the Reserve Slots option. The
default is Disabled.
Set Negotiation
This option offers two choices: Initiate Synchronous Negotiation and Set
Transfer Rate. Set Initiate Negotiate to allow the tape drive to initiate SCSI
Synchronous Negotiation with the NonStop server (the default is No). The tape
drive always responds to server-initiated negotiation.
Set Transfer Rate can be set to 10 MB/sec, 5 MB/sec or asynchronous. The
default is 10 MB/sec.
