IMPORTANT IMPORTANT
If the jammed paper is torn:
Remove all torn pieces to avoid further jams.
If repeated paper jams occur:
Do the following:
• Make sure that all of the orange tape and packing materials are
completely removed.
• Fan the paper stack and tap the edge on a flat surface to align the
paper before loading it into the machine.
• Make sure that the paper meets the requirements for use ( → p.20).
• Make sure that you have removed all scraps of paper from the inside
of the machine.
Clearing Document Jams in the Feeder
(MF8580Cdw)
After removing any documents placed in the feeder, follow the procedure below to remove
jammed documents.

Open the feeder cover.

Move the lever to unlock.

Remove any jammed document by pulling it gently.
