Distributing Paper
Formats

The paper formats exported from the
[Currently Registered Paper Sizes] list can
be distributed to other computers.
Distributing only paper
formats

If the printer driver has been installed on the
recipient’s computer, only the paper formats
need to be distributed.

At the sender’s computer, specify the
paper format settings, and then click
[Export Paper Size List...].
(See Setting Paper Size uu page 28.)
The following files are created.
RJ-4030:
BSR403ed.txt, BSR403ed.ptd, pdt3137.bin
RJ-4040:
BSR404ed.txt, BSR404ed.ptd, pdt3237.bin

Save BSR403ed.txt or BSR404ed.txt at
any location on the recipient’s computer.

At the recipient’s computer, click
[Import Paper Size List...].
The paper formats are replaced with the
imported ones.
Distributing paper formats
bundled with the installer

If the printer driver has not been installed on
the recipient’s computer, the paper formats
that can be distributed are bundled with the
installer for the printer driver.
Read "RJ-XXXX" in the following steps as
your model name.

At the sender's computer, specify the
paper format settings, and then click
[Export Paper Size List...].

The following files are created.
RJ-4030:
BSR403ed.txt, BSR403ed.ptd, pdt3137.bin
RJ-4040:
BSR404ed.txt, BSR404ed.ptd, pdt3237.bin

Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM
drive of the sender's computer.

Copy the folder in CD drive:\your
language\Drivers\RJ-XXXX to any
location on the sender’s computer.

Overwrite the contents of the folders at
RJ-XXXX\x64\custom and
RJ-XXXX\x86\custom (copied in step 3)
with the three files created in a.
e
Save folder [RJ-XXXX] at any location
on the recipient's computer.
f
At the recipient’s computer, double-click
[dsetuph.exe].
Complete the installation according to
the instructions that appear on the
screen.
