Note: There are other error codes that are possible since there
are too many possibilities to list. Any error codes that
are encountered other than the ones listed above should
be reported to Hired Hand to determine the cause of the
error.
16.2 Local Network Overview of Control System Devices
The following will overview all of the devices in this control system. It will also explain the
local network tools that are employed by each device.
Farm Hand Vent Master 24
The Vent Master 24 is the heart and soul of this control system. It makes most all of the
decisions and sends commands out over the Local Net. If problems occur with the Local
Net, the Vent Master 24 will indicate the problems using local network codes (LN##).
These codes indicate which modules are not responding to commands over the local network.
This table is very important when trying to trouble-shoot the system.

SCS Back-Up System
The SCS Back-Up System is a vital member of this control system. It has two roles: 1.
Monitor the communication over the local network. 2. Control the environment using its
temperature sensor(s) and its four stages. It is important to note that this Back-Up System is
a stand-alone controller that has the ability to control the same drive relays that the Vent
Master 24 is controlling. Therefore, if the temperature is outside its High or Low limits it
will operate the appropriate stages no matter what is happening with the local network.
