If outside temperature is warm, it will allow you to take in a large volume of
slow moving warm air, but when outside air is cold, the unit will adjust to
allow only a low volume of fast moving cold air.

Temp (F)
Negative Pressure ("w.c.)
The preceding graph shows what the ramp mode looks like on paper. The
vertical lines show in-house pressure, whereas the horizontal lines show outside
temperature. Using figures from the chart above; the controller was
programmed as follows:
High end temperature
80°F
High end pressure
.04"w.c.
Low end temperature
40°F
Low end pressure
.10"w.c.
For example, if outside temperature is 60 degrees, the in house pressure would
be 0.07"w.c., also if outside temperature dropped to 40 degrees, in house
pressure would drop to 0.10"w.c. automatically. For any temperature less than
40 degrees, in house pressure would be maintained at .10 "w.c. Conversely any
temperature above 80 degrees, pressure would be maintained at .04 "w.c.
Variable Speed
This feature allows the operator to set up one fan circuit with
variable speed capability. (One or more fans, with current not exceeding
ten amps.) With this feature activated, the controller will vary the speed
of the fans on that circuit as temperature changes. (Fan speed will
increase as temperature increases, and as temperature decreases, fan
speed will decrease.) When this feature is selected, the controller will
prompt you for certain information. This information is listed on the
following page.
