Saving your changes
Complete the following steps to make your changes persistent. This ensures that if you must reboot
the switch, the preferences you have set will be in force when the switch comes back up.
1. Log in to the switch using an account that has the admin role.
2. In privileged EXEC mode, enter the copy running-config startup-config command.
switch# copy running-config startup-config
This operation will modify your startup configuration. Do you want to
continue? [Y/N]: Y
3. When the confirmation question appears, answer Y for Yes.
The current running configuration, containing all of your latest changes, is saved to the startup
configuration. The next time the switch reboots, all of the changes will remain in force.
