CPR Parameters
The CPR parameters allow you to view and modify functions related to using the X Series unit
for CPR. The main level parameters in this menu include:
• AHA/ERC Guidelines
• CPR Time
• Enable Metronome
• Constant Metronome
• Enable CPR Prompts
• Display “Fully Release” Prompt
• Log CPR Metrics
• Auto Display Compression Trace
AHA/ERC Guidelines
The AHA/ERC Guidelines parameter allows you to specify which edition of the AHA/ERC
Guidelines the X Series unit follows.
The values for the AHA/ERC Guidelines parameter are:
CPR Time
The CPR Time parameter allows you to set the CPR time.
The values for the CPR Time parameter are:
Enable Metronome
This parameter allows you to select which modes you want the CPR metronome enabled:
Never (no modes), Always (Manual, Advisory/CPR Protocol, and AED modes), and AED
Mode Only. This parameter works in conjunction with the Constant Metronome parameter, and
the mode in which the unit is operating determines how these parameters function together. The
following paragraphs and Table 1, “CPR Metronome Activity,” on page 133 provide more
detailed information.
Enable Metronome Set to Never
The metronome is disabled in all modes.
Possible Values: 2005, 2010
Default: 2010
Possible Values: 1 min, 1.5 min, 2 min, 2.5 min, 3 min, 3.5 min, 4 min
Default: 2 min
