2 DESCRIPTION

The konti-Dos system is comprised of interconnected elements enabling the continuous distri-
bution of the active produce in the water supply.

The flow of the water supply is measured using a high resolution sensor. The measurement
signal is read by the control unit and transmitted to the dosing pump in the form of a stan-
dardised analogical signal (4-20 mA). The pump then continuously adds the active product to
be dosed based on the determined dosage rate.

The control unit, 8025 or 8035, is equipped with a display and programming software that is
simple to use. The user enters all the parameters. The display is used to view all the process
values and all the parameters. The dosage rate is indicated in %.

The consumption of water and/or active product can be transmitted by a programmable im-
pulse signal.

In the case of a power cut:

- the installation continues to be supplied with drinking water but the active product is not added.

- the control unit parameters and settings are retained: it will operate normally when the cur-

rent comes back on.

Schematic drawing of the konti-Dos

The dosage rate DR in % is the quantity dosed and added to the water supply:

Where

Q

1

, is the water supply;

Where

Q

2

, is the quantity dosed and added to Q

1

: Q

2

[%] = Q1 [%] x DR [%].

The outflow Q

3

is then: Q

3

= Q

1

+ Q

2

or Q

3

[l/h] = Q

1

[l/h] (1 + DR [%]/100)

Example: If the supply Q

1

= 100 l/h; Dosage rate DR = 5 %;

Outflow

Q

3

= 100 l/h (1 + 5/100)

Then

Q

3

= 105 l/h
