All PCI cards such as the StudioCard are Plug and Play
compliant. Older “legacy” ISA cards may or may not be. The
most likely problem you may encounter during installation is a
resource conflict. This is typically due to Windows 95/98 Plug
and Play system not being aware of older ISA based cards in
your system. Windows believes a particular IRQ is available
and assigns it to the StudioCard when it is really in use by
another device.
These conflicts occur most frequently with ISA based modem,
network, and other sound cards. This section will assist you in
resolving a conflict if you do have one.
Step 1
Power down and remove the StudioCard
Step 2
Determine the
resources used
by legacy cards
in the system.
This is
accomplished
by double
clicking on the
System Icon in
the Control
Panel.
