Status field

The Status field of the control program window displays the following status indicator
boxes:

z

Link 1 Shown in green when the PowerCage FOX 3G is configured as a receiver
and detects light on Link 1

z

Link 2 (Optional) Shown in green when the PowerCage FOX 3G is configured
as a receiver and detects light on Link 2

z

DIP Switch Mode — Indicates the current operating mode of the PowerCage FOX
3G, determined by the positions of the two DIP switches on the rear panel: Off (down
or 0) or On (up or 1).

z

Transceiver (Both switches down [off]) — Bidirectional transceiver mode
(default)

z

Transmitter (switch 1 down [off]; switch 2 up [on] — Transmitter mode (with
local monitor outputs)

z

Receiver (switch 1 up [on]), switch 2 down [off] — Receiver mode (with daisy
chaining)

z

Receiver (both switches up [on] — Spare (Functions as receiver with daisy
chaining.)

z

Input Video Status — Indicates the rate of the input video signal. Statuses that can
be displayed include No Input, 270 Mbps, 1.485 Gbps, 2.97 Gbps, or Rate Unknown.

z

Connected To — Indicates the Com port on the computer that is connected to the
unit.

z

Model — Displays the PowerCage FOX 3G HD-SDI model name and mode
(singlemode or multimode).
