Installation
This printer is equipped with 2MB of resident base memory
which is expandable to a total of 34MB. You may expand
resident base memory size by installing additional SIMM
(single in-line memory module) memory. By doing this, you
can increase the size of the receive buffer, increase the size of
the font download buffer or print a more complex page.
Available SIMM
Options
The system controller board contains one SIMM slot
dedicated to increase the printer memory. There are four
available SIMM options you can choose from to increase the
printer memory up to a total of 34MB. All the SIMMs are
industry standard 72-pin 32-bit memory (no parity, 70ns), and
are of sizes of 2MB, 4MB, 16MB, 32MB.
Simply choose an appropriate size of memory, and install it
into the SIMM slot. The controller can automatically detect
the SIMM memory and increase the printer buffer size.
For proper functioning of SIMM memory use SIMMs of an
access time faster than or equal to 70ns.
