5 If the controller has an additional SIMM
installed, remove it.
Spread the clips on each end of the SIMM
connector and tilt the SIMM to the left.
Pull the SIMM board away from the
controller and out of the printer.
6 Unscrew the three screws securing the
system controller board and discard the
metal plate.
7 Slide the system controller out of the
printer and put it on a flat surface. 8 Install the serial board.
Ensure that the connector for the
serial board is fully seated in the
system controller.
