Replacing the CMEM Chip
Replace CMEM
Chips Follow these steps to replace a CMEM chip:
Step Action
1 Remove the card from the nest or enclosure.
2 Locate the CMEM chip (Figure 2-17).
On the CMEM chip, note the location of the dot in the lower left
corner, which is toward the front of the card. This will help you orient
the new chip.
3 Using a standard chip-puller, remove the CMEM chip.
4 Insert the new CMEM chip into the socket. Be sure that the dot in the
chip is oriented toward the front of the card.
