Replacing Processor Card Components
Replacing ID Modules
Replace the ID
Module Perform these steps to replace the ID Module:
Step Action
1 Remove the card from the nest or enclosure.
2 Locate the ID Module (Figure 2-17) and note the location of the
notch, which is toward the front of the card.
This will help you orient the new chip.
3 Using a standard chip-puller, remove the ID Module.
4 Insert the new ID Module into the socket. Be sure that the notch in
the chip is oriented toward the front of the card.
