Temporarily changing the priority
To temporarily change the boot drive, follow the steps below.
1. Hold down
F12
and boot the computer.
2. A menu will be displayed with the following icons: Hard Drive, Removable
Devices, CD/DVD-ROM Drive and Network Boot. The selected boot device
will be effective only for the next boot.
3. Use the up/down cursor keys to highlight the boot device you want and press
Enter
.
NOTES: 1. If a supervisor password is set, the menu above does not
appear when you use the user password to start the
computer.
2. The selection method above does not change the boot
priority settings in HW Setup.
3. If you press a key other than one of those above or if the
selected device is not installed, the system will boot according
to the current setting in HW Setup.
4. Support of PC (ATA) card boot is guaranteed only for
TOSHIBA PC card HDDs.
5. A PC (ATA) card takes the position of HDD in the Boot
Priority Options list, if the card is set up as the boot device in
BIOS setup.
Built-in LAN disabled
Under certain conditions,
LAN
will automatically be moved to the last item in the
boot priority list.
If you disable Built-in LAN in HW Setup,
LAN
will become the last item the next time
you start the computer. For example:

2. You disable
Built-in LAN
in HW Setup and restart the computer.

If you enable Built-in LAN and change the boot priority setting, LAN will remain in
the last position the next time you start the computer. Your selected boot priority
will become effective from the second time you start the computer.
