Relay Broadcasting
Relay broadcasting is where one fax machine, which is the relay
initiating station, sends a document to another fax machine. The
receiving fax machine, which is the relay key station, then re-
sends (broadcasts) the document to a number of other locations.
Relay Initiating Station
Your fax machine can act as the relay initiating station, which
starts the relay broadcast by sending the original documents.
Before programming your fax machine to initiate a relay broad-
cast, you will need to obtain the following information from the
operator of the fax machine you intend to use as a relay key sta-
tion:
Note: The designated recipient of the receipt report sent by the
relay station (function in which the relay station sends a
report on transmission results to the destination specified
by the relay initiating station) shall be the destination
programmed into Auto-Dial number 150.
Relay Password: This is the relay password (up to 20
digits) which is programmed into the relay key station.
Remote List Number: These numbers (up to 20 digits) are
the code numbers of locations or groups of locations
programmed into the relay key station.
Relay Key Station
The relay key station is the fax machine that receives the origi-
nal fax message, and then automatically relay broadcasts the
message to other remote fax machines. For this feature to be
available, the fax machine operating as a relay key station must
be able to receive and relay broadcast the message to other fax
machines (OKIFAX 2600, 5750, 5950, 5980, or fax of another
maker with a SUB PWD relay function).
