If you happen to pick a memory number where the is “write
protected”, the contents of the memory may not be changed or overwritten
until the protection feature is removed. In this case, pressing
will emit multiple beeps indicating an error.
If the memory is protected, you can always enter a different memory number
or go to the list for a look at the available memories.
