Step 9: Create Volume
With NEC Express5800/ft series, all volumes needs to be mirrored.
For creating a new volume other than the volume where system partition is stored, see “Hard Disk
Configurations that can be Built on the NEC Express5800/ft series” in the separate volume of the
User’s Guide. For creating volumes and mirroring, see Windows online help and “Step 6: Set Dual
Disk Configuration” (page 4-34).
IMPORTANT:
- Models supporting the RDR function mirror built-in disks by disk by the RDR function. You
do not need to mirror the disks by volume. For mirroring using the RDR function, see “
Setting Dual Disk Configuration by the RDR (Rapid Disk Resync) function” in “Step 6: Set
Dual Disk Configuration” (page 4-38).
- Volumes can be created after the system operation is started. To create a volume, see “Hard
Disk Configurations that can be Built on the NEC Express5800/ft series” in the separate
volume of the User’s Guide.
