14 In the Network Time Protocol (NTP) Configuration screen, type Y
or N to choose the NTP transfer mode for the system. Type 1, 2,
or 3 and then press Enter to indicate the clock source function of
the Linux system, as shown in
Figure 24 "Network time protocol
configuration window" (page 45) .
Note: NTP uses Message Digest Algorithm 5 (MD5)
signatures to authenticate the exchange of timestamps when
operating in secure mode.
