6. Press the Pause button. The print head moves and the paper feeds into
printing position automatically. READY appears on the control panel.
(Even if you don’t press Pause , the paper and printer will move into
printing position automatically after 10 seconds.)
7. Print your page. After it is finished, the sheet stays in the printer.
8. To remove your printout, hold the sheet while pressing the
Paper Feed (–) button.
Printing on Heavy Stock
You can print on heavy stock up to B2 size (approximately 20 × 28 inches).
Follow these instructions when you print on card stock or other media more
than 0.5 mm thick.
1. Pull down the paper hammock to catch your printouts in front of the
printer (when you’re using the printer stand). Extend the paper guides
straight out in front of the printer to keep the stock from bending.
2. Press the Paper Source button repeatedly until the Sheet light
comes on.
3. Make sure the Operate light and Pause light are not flashing. Then
push the paper set lever all the way down.
4. Open the lower cover by pulling down on the handles.
5. Feed the stock into the paper slot until the bottom edge of the stock
rests behind the open lower cover.
Caution
To avoid damaging the
printer, never move the
paper set lever while the
Operate or Pause light is
flashing.
Note
You can’t run a cleaning
cycle when heavy stock is
loaded in the printer.
