The Basics
3. Turn the Main-Command dial to select [ ] (Single Area AF).
The selected AF Area mode appears in the Top Status LCD and
viewfinder.
4. Lightly press the Shutter Release button, and press the appropriate
side of the Four-way switch to choose the center focus area.
The selected focus area appears in the Top Status LCD ( page 2-10 )
and in the Viewfinder ( page 2-5 ).

1. Set the Metering System selector to (Matrix Metering).
The Matrix Metering symbol appears in the Viewfinder.
