3.3. Installing HDD

[HDD Connection Diagram]

HDD Connecting Instructions

① Place an HDD attached with the HDD brackets to the product hanger.

② Attach the HDD to the hanger using the enclosed fixture screws.

③ Connect the enclosed power/data cable to the HDD.

④ Connect the HDD data cable to the main board.

⑤ Connect the HDD power cable to the main board.

Note

The product automatically formats a newly installed HDD when it powers up; you can

immediately start using new HDDs without formatting.

Detaching HDD

Detaching an HDD is the same as attaching it, but in reverse order.

① Detach the HDD from the product hanger.

② Unplug the SATA and power cables.

③ Loosen the HDD fixture bracket.

④ Detach the HDD.

Caution

When attaching or detaching an HDD, make sure the product turned off first.
