Camera
You can activate the camera and take pictures when the phone is open. In addition
to taking pictures, you can also record, view, and send videos to your friends and
family with your phone’s built-in video camera.
To take a picture:
1.
Activate the main menu, highlight the Camera menu, and press
.
2.
Select Camera.
Shortcut
: To activate Camera mode, you can also press and hold the side camera
button (see illustration on page 1).
3.
Using the phone’s display as a viewfinder, aim the camera lens at your
subject.
•
To zoom in or out, use the side volume key. The levels of zooming
available depends on the resolution selected.
•
To adjust the brightness, use the left and right navigation keys.
•
To turn the status display on or off, use the up navigation key.
•
To set the self-timer, use the down navigation key.
4.
Press
or the side camera button until the shutter sounds. (Make
sure the camera is steady.)
The picture taken appears on-screen and is saved in your default file
location. For more information, see "Status Bar" on page 66.
To record a video:
1.
Activate the main menu, highlight the Camera menu, and press
.
2.
Select Camcorder.
3.
Select either:
•
Video Mail
to take a short video up to 25 seconds that is suitable for
transfer via Pic/Video messaging.
•
Long Video
to take a longer video. Videos over 512 KB cannot be sent
via messaging. The length of the video depends on how much free
memory remains in your handset.
