Error Messages
If you have a problem that you cannot resolve, contact QMS Cus-
tomer National Service. See appendix A, “QMS Technical Support,”
for information on how to get help.The following service call message
requires that you contact QMS Customer National Service:

Problem Checklist
This section provides a list of possible printer problems and solutions.
If there is no status message, use the following steps to identify the
source of your problem and to determine possible solutions:

Do the On or Off indicators on the printer control panel come
on? If they do not, check the following:
Is the power cord plugged into both the power outlet and the
printer?
Is the printer turned on?
Is the controller turned on?
Is the power outlet working?
Does the line voltage from the power outlet match the
printer's power requirements? (See appendix B, “Technical
Specifications.”)

Can you print a status page? If you cannot, check the follow-
ing:
Did you take the printer off line before you tried to enter the
menu structure?
WARMING UP PLEASE WAIT
Indicates the printer is warming up after being turned on or is resetting an
error.
