Removing an expansion card
Removing an expansion card may require you to run software to
reconfigure the system.
1.
Turn off the system and disconnect all power cords and peripheral
devices.
2.
Open the cover as described in “Opening the system” on page 3,
following all static electricity precautions as described in “Static
electricity precautions” on page 2.
3.
If necessary, disconnect any cables connected to the expansion card.
4.
Remove the screw that secures the card and its bracket to the back
panel of the server (see Figure 35).

5.
For full-length cards, press the retaining latch on the card guide in,
until it clicks into the retracted position (see Figure 36).
