Checking a Trunk
Verifying an
outside line Your system administrator may ask you to check a specific
trunk (outside line) to verify that it is not locked up or out
of service.
Procedure To verify a trunk, use the long trunk alarm/verification key
as follows:
1 Press while your console is idle. The
display shows the normal dial monitor.
2 Press key. The normal dial monitor is
displayed.
3 Dial the desired trunk number. If the trunk is valid and
busy, you see this display:
4 Press to listen for a conversation. (A warning
tone signals the interruption.)
