view memory card information provided by the assistant
When you insert a memory card into the printer, the Assistant automatically
opens on the computer screen and displays information about the files on the
memory card.
Note: You can turn off these messages on the Assistant’s Welcome window
by selecting the Don’t show on card insertion check box.
Memory card messages from the Assistant include:

Photo Card Inserted
This message includes the number of photos stored on the memory card
and the number of new photos on the memory card (photos that have not
been printed from the printer’s control panel).
– Click More Detail on Photo Card Inserted to open a help topic about
photo cards.
– Click Printer Help to open the first page of HP Photosmart Printer Help.
– Click Assistant to open the Assistant Welcome window where you can
view information about the printer’s control panel and turn memory
card messages on or off.
– Click Close to close the Assistant.

Camera-Selected Photos (DPOF) Detected
This message appears when photos on the memory card have been
marked for printing using your digital camera.
– Click More Detail on Camera-Selected Photos (DPOF) Detected to open
a help topic about camera-selected photos.
– Click Printer Help to open the first page of HP Photosmart Printer Help.
– Click Assistant to open the Assistant’s Welcome window where you
can view information about the printer’s control panel and turn memory
card messages on or off.
– Click Close to close the Assistant.

Card Access Error
This message appears when the printer cannot read photos stored on the
memory card.
– Click More Detail on Card Access Error to open a troubleshooting help
topic.
– Click Printer Help to open the first page of HP Photosmart Printer Help.
– Click Assistant to open the Assistant’s Welcome window where you
can view information about the printer’s control panel and turn memory
card messages on or off.
– Click Close to close the Assistant.
