How to configure the printer

Follow these steps to configure the printer:

Select Print Manager from the Main group.

Choose Create Printer from the printer menu at the top of the

screen. The Create Printer dialog box appears.

Enter a name for the printer in the Printer Name field.

Select the printer driver from the Driver pull-down menu.

Select Other from the Print To pull-down menu. The Print

Destination dialog box appears.

6. Choose [HP Network Port] from the Available Print Destinations

list. The Add an HP Network Peripheral Port dialog box

appears.

Note:

HP Network Port does not appear as a choice in the dialog box,

then the DLC Transport Protocol and Driver are not installed. Go to

the installation for Windows NT section above for detailed

installation instructions.

7. Enter a name for the port in the Name field.

Note:

The name must not be identical to an existing port, such as LPT1, or

any other existing DOS device.

8. Select the LAN Hardware Address (Node Address) from the

Card Address list. This address matches the one listed under

Node Number on the status sheet.
