Troubleshooting
First, try out the following procedures (P387 to P401) .
• The battery is exhausted.
> Charge the battery.
• If you leave the camera on, the battery will be exhausted.
> Turn the camera off frequently by using the [Economy] etc. (P77)
• [Economy] is enabled. (P77)
• Is the linked operation of VIERA Link enabled?
> If you are not using VIERA Link, set [VIERA Link] to [OFF]. (P79)
• Insert the battery securely all the way in. (P31)
• Is the drive mode set to 4K Photo and [4K PHOTO] set to [ ] ([4K Pre-Burst])? When [ ]
([4K Pre-Burst]) is selected, the battery drains faster.
> Select [ ] ([4K Pre-Burst]) only when recording.
• Is a Wi-Fi connection being used for a long period of time?
The battery can become flat quickly when connected to Wi-Fi.
> Turn the camera off frequently by using the [Economy] etc. (P77)
• When the drive mode is set to 4K Photo and [4K PHOTO] in the [Rec] menu is set to [ ] ([4K
Pre-Burst]), the camera temperature rises. In some cases, the camera may display [ ],
switch to [ ] ([4K Burst]) and stop the recording to protect itself. Wait until the camera cools
down.
• Is the subject focused?
> Is [Focus/Release Priority] in the [Custom] menu set to [FOCUS]? (P164)
You cannot take a picture until the subject is brought into focus.
If the problem is not resolved, it may be improved by selecting [Reset] (P80) on the
[Setup] menu.
Battery and power source
The camera cannot be operated even when it is turned on.
The camera turns off immediately after it is turned on.
This unit is turned off automatically.
Card/battery door does not close.
The battery becomes flat too quickly.
Recording
Taking pictures is not possible.
The shutter will not operate immediately when the shutter button is pressed.
