Shooting Range and Focusing

Still Images Movies
To restrict the focus to subjects at close range, set the camera to [ ]. For
details on the focusing range, see “Shooting Range” (= 115).
● Press the [ ] button, press the [ ][ ]
buttons to choose [ ], and then press the
[ ] button.
● Once the setting is complete, [ ] is
displayed.
● If the flash fires, vignetting may occur.
● Be careful to avoid damaging the lens.
● In the yellow bar display area below the zoom bar, [ ] will turn
gray and the camera will not focus.
● To prevent camera shake, try mounting the camera on a tripod
and shooting with the camera set to [ ] (= 34).
Custom Color

Choose the desired level of image contrast, sharpness, color saturation,
red, green, blue, and skin tones in a range of 1 – 5.

Access the setting screen.
● Follow the steps in “Changing Image
Color Tones (My Colors)” (= 53) to
choose [ ], and then press the [ ]
button.

Configure the setting.
● Press the [ ][ ] buttons to choose an
option, and then specify the value by
pressing the [ ][ ] buttons.
● For stronger/more intense effects (or
darker skin tones), adjust the value to
the right, and for weaker/lighter effects
(or lighter skin tones), adjust the value to
the left.
● Press the [ ] button to complete the
setting.
