To Measure Diode
Test Current Source: 1 mA, 100 μA, 10 μA, 2 μA, 200 nA
Voltage Measurement Range: -0.2 V ~2.2 V, -0.2 V ~4.2 V, -0.2 V ~4.8 V, -0.2 V
~5.2 V, -0.2 V ~5.5 V
Max Resolution: 100 μV
Input Protection: 1000 V Input Protection.
Open-circuit Voltage: < 8 V
This function measures the forward voltage drop on the diode.
Note: in diode measurement, please connect the diode and multimeter using
connecting wire that is as short as possible to avoid the error generated by the
reception of space electromagnetic signal by the connecting wire loop.
Operating Steps:
1. Enable the DIODE measurement
Press
at the front panel to enter the following interface.
2. Make connection
Connect the test lead with the measured diode by referring to
“Measurement Connections”.
3. Select the current source*
Press 1mA, 100uA, 10uA, 2uA or 200nA to select the desired current source.
Note: when measuring diode with relatively larger drain current, please do
not use small current source (the polarity of the diode might not be
distinguished because the forward voltage drop might be too low).
4. Read the measurement value
The multimeter screen displays the measured voltage value when the diode is
connected; otherwise the screen displays “OPEN”.
