To Measure Continuity
Test Current Source: 1 mA
Max Resolution: 0.1 Ω (the range is fixed at 2 kΩ)
Input Protection: 1000 V Input Protection.
Open-circuit Voltage: < 8 V
Beep Threshold (short-circuit resistance): from 1 Ω to 2000 Ω
Operating Steps:
1. Enable the CONT measurement
Press
at the front panel to enter the following interface.
2. Make connection
Connect the test lead with the measured circuit by referring to
“Measurement Connections”.
3. Set the short-circuit resistance
Press Set and enter a desired value using the direction keys. The range is from
1 Ω to 2000 Ω and the default is 10 Ω.
4. Read the measurement value
The circuit is considered to be connected when the measured circuit has
a resistance lower than the specified short-circuit resistance. The actual
resistance value is displayed on the screen and the beeper sounds (if the
sound is on).
When the measured circuit has a resistance that is between the specified
short-circuit resistance and 2.2 kΩ, the actual resistance value is
displayed but the beeper does not sound.
When the measured circuit has resistance greater than 2.2 kΩ, “OPEN” is
displayed on the screen but the beeper does not sound.
