5. The diskette drive cable is connected to the socket behind
the hard disk drive socket; disconnect it in the same
manner.
6. The subassembly is the large metal casing enclosing the
horizontal drive bays and the power supply, as shown
below.
To remove the subassembly, first lift it up from the front
only. Place your thumbs under the diskette drive and
grasp the top edge of the computer with the rest of your
fingers, as shown in the next illustration. (If you have a
diskette drive installed in the lower horizontal drive bay,
place your thumbs underneath that drive instead.)
