5.4.4 Connecting the PV Generator (DC)
1. Disconnect the line circuit breaker and secure against re-connection.
2. Pull the Electronic Solar Switch downward, slightly
toward the wall.
3. Check the connection cables of the PV modules for
correct polarity and that the maximum input voltage
of the inverter is not exceeded.
At an ambient temperature higher than 10 °C, the
open circuit voltage of the PV modules must not be
more than 90 % of the maximum inverter input
voltage.
Otherwise, check the system design and the PV
module connection. If this is not done, the maximum
inverter input voltage can be exceeded at low
temperatures.
DANGER!
Danger to life due to high voltages in the inverter.
• Before connecting the PV generator, ensure that the line circuit breaker is switched
off.
NOTICE!
Excessive voltages can destroy the measuring device.
• Only use measuring devices with a DC input voltage range of at least 700 V.
NOTICE!
Destruction of the inverter due to overvoltage.
If the voltage of the PV modules exceeds the maximum input voltage of the inverter, it can
be destroyed by the overvoltage.
All warranty claims become void.
• Do not connect strings with an open circuit voltage greater than the maximum input
voltage of the inverter.
• Check the system design.
