Checking the Parallel Port Status
To determine if the parallel port is enabled:
1. Chose Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Windows NT Diagnostics .
2. Click the Resources tab.
3. Click the I/O Port button.
4. Verify that the parallel port ( Parport ) addresses of 0378 - 037A are present.
5. If these addresses do not appear in the list, you must verify the parallel port
configuration using one of two procedures depending what hardware version
you have installed. Refer to Table 1 to determine which procedure you should
follow to verify the parallel port configuration.
