Connecting the LSVM1DC650/LSVM1DC300
1. Unpack the DC power cord, identify the plug for connecting to the power module, orient the plug
with the power receptacle on the power module, and insert the plug into the receptacle (see Figure
53 ). The receptacle is foolproof. If you cannot insert the plug into the receptacle, re-orient the plug
rather than use excessive force to push it in.
2. Use a cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle of the power module, as shown in Figure
52 .
3. Connect the other end of the power cord to the DC power source.

Installing/Removing an interface card
This section applies only to the S5820X-28C switch. For the interface cards available for the switch, see
" Interface cards ."
This section uses the LSW1SP4P0 interface card as an example to describe the procedures for installing
and removing an interface card.
Installing an interface card
1. Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap, ensure a good skin contact and make sure that the
ESD-preventive wrist strap is correctly grounded.
