spanning-tree mst version
Purpose Used to select what type of STP the switch uses.
Syntax spanning-tree mst version
{stpCompatible|rstp|mstp}
Description To select type of spanning tree: simple spanning tree,
rapid spanning tree or multiple-spanning tree.
Parameters RSTP Version
MSTP Version
Menu Advanced Switch Configuration -> Multiple Spanning
Tree
Restrictions Global configuration
Example usage:
Set the switch to use STP version of spanning tree.
24P switch(config)# spanning-tree mst version stp
spanning-tree mst max-age
Purpose Used to configure the max time the switch waits
before reconnecting to the network.
Syntax spanning-tree mst max-age
Description To set the max-age time in seconds that the switch
waits before trying to reconfigure the network when it
is the root bridge.
Parameters Integer ranges from 6 to 28
