snmp-server enable traps snmp
Purpose Used to start or stop the set SNMP notification.
Syntax snmp-server enable traps snmp
{authentication|coldstart|warmstart}
Description To enable or disable the specified SNMP notification.
Parameters Enable or disable the authentication
failure trap
Enable or disable the coldstart trap
Enable or disable the warmstart trap
Menu NMP Configuration -> SNMP Trap Receiver
Configuration
Restrictions Global configuration
Example usage:
Enable individual trap authentication failure
24P switch(config)# snmp-server enable traps snmp
authentication
snmp-server enable traps linkupdown
Purpose Used to configure link down trap ports.
Syntax snmp-server enable traps linkupdown <Port
number>
Description To add or delete link down trap ports
